The site is hosted on Cloudflare. It collects no personal data. It uses no cookies and no tracking. Readers can browse the articles without creating an account or submitting any information. The only personal data that may be received is what a reader chooses to send by email, and that is used only to answer the message.

All texts are written from public sources. Each article names the sources it draws on. The journal does not speak for any organisation, programme, or institution, and it describes them in the third person. The summer programme that used to run in Oberlin is active on its own domain and is not the voice of this site.

Photographs on the site are illustrations produced for the North Coast Chamber Journal. They are not documentary records of specific events, places, or people unless an article states otherwise. No photograph may be reused without written permission from the editorial team.
